New Music Page

Posted on: March 20, 2011

I believe that children and teens can seek true inspiration through a song. Today, I finished my “Music” page which lists popular music that may be of good influence for students in elementary and high school settings:

*Here is the playlist I included to my page. Simply click on a song to listen to it. ENJOY!*

Nice addition to your work here.

This is a good idea! Kids love music and using it in the classroom is a fantastic way to not only engage them but teach them content as well. Just used something similar with my 2nd graders in a poetry unit I completed. Students loved it and now look at music lyrics differently.

Your unit sounds awesome! It was great to post music like this, and I think it can really help kids go through certain times in their lives. Also, there seems to be a lot of music that would be a bad influence on children. Instead, my playlist can be used in the classroom to expand their variety, and introduce them to something inspirational and positive.
